31 Day TV Challenge: Day 23

Day 23 of the 31 Day TV Challenge: Best TV Cast. Without a doubt, the best cast on any TV show was one where each member of the cast won an Emmy for their performance in the show. They made you laugh every time. Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty were the Golden Girls.

Bea's Boots Were Made For Walkin'

Mom Smackley, the love of my life, inspired this post.

In reasons too many to go into, Mom Smackley has been watching the feet of Bea Arthur. We recently purchased some seasons of Golden Girls on DVD and while watching season two, MS noticed these baggy tan boots that Bea was wearing. A few episodes later, she was wearing them again.

By season three she had branched out into white.

Eventually other colors started popping up in season three and then again in season four, but her mainstays were always the tan and white.

It became a game to see how many outfits she would wear boots with. I was beginning to wonder if she wore them with her robe and nightgown.








So while you're laying around at home watching the reruns on Lifetime or your DVDs of the show, look for Bea's saggy, baggy boots.
