Mom Smackley and I are doing an art project called People, Places, and Things. Each week, we pick items out of a "hat" and create an image incorporating these items. The items we got from our "hat" this week were Lucille Ball, Spaceship and a baby crib.
The backstory for this image is based on the "Partners in Crime" episode of Doctor Who. After the Adipose First Family terminated the employment of Matron Cofelia AKA Miss Foster, they had to get a replacement nanny.
Mom Smackley decided that Lucy was going to give birth to something "alien" in his image:
Next week: Bela Lugosi, Airplane, and a kitten

The Far-Out Adventures of Brad and Janet
Mom Smackley and I are doing an art project called People, Places, and Things. Each week, we pick items out of a "hat" and create an image incorporating these items. The items we got from our "hat" this week were David Bowie, Outer space and a vampire bat.
I decided to do a sequel to The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Brad and Janet follow Riff Raff and Magenta to the planet Transexual in the galaxy of Transylvania. When they arrive at the planet, Riff Raff and Magenta are there with their leader the Goblin King and his associates Igor and Renfield. They are waiting in orbit on asteroids floating in front of the ship called the USS Denton. When Brad and Janet use the viewscreen, they are shocked by how much the Goblin King looks like David Bowie...
Mom Smackley did his this week in less than two hours, yet I think it may be my favorite one. I just love the colors and concept. It may have to be my new desktop picture.
Next week will be Lucille Ball, Spaceship and a baby crib. Should be interesting.

Picnic in Pompeii
Mom Smackley and I are doing an art project called People, Places, and Things. Each week, we pick items out of a "hat" and create an image incorporating these items. The items we got from our "hat" this week were the Three Stooges, Volcano and a pillow.
Here is my result, I call it "Picnic in Pompeii":
My first instinct was to do Mt. Vesuvius, so I had to find an image of the Three Stooges in togas. But how would I incorporate a pillow? Oh yeah, Caesar would sit on pillows...so that was how it grew.
Mom Smackley decided that if there was anything for "Things" that he couldn't add easily, he would make the item a monster. So here is his result:

Is it ready?
Mom Smackley and I are doing an art project called People, Places, and Things. Each week, we pick items out of a "hat" and create an image incorporating these items. The items we got from our "hat" this week were Orson Welles, Kitchen and lasagna. Of course, we each added a fourth element that shows how our both our minds work: Garfield!

Happily Ever After?
Mom Smackley and I are doing an art project called People, Places, and Things. Each week, we pick items out of a "hat" and create an image incorporating these items. The items we got from our "hat" this week were Joyce Jameson, Grocery Store and a vacuum cleaner.
I decided to cast Joyce as an aging Cinderella who married her Prince Charming, but during the recession they lost all their money and opened a supermarket. Luckily, her animal friends still assist her with the cleaning and old friends still stop by to see her.
Here's Mom Smackley's submission for the week:
Check back for next week's results...we're doing Orson Welles, Kitchen and lasagna. It's funny that kitchen and lasagna were drawn during the same week. I can bet you that Garfield will probably show up in both...wait and see!
