In March of 1976, the pilot movie for Charlie's Angels hit the TV screens across America and was an instant hit. The network thought it might have been a fluke, but when they re-ran the movie before the premiere of the series, it still drew a huge number of viewers. On September 22, 1976, Charlie's Angels premiered as a regular series with it's first regular episode titled "Hellride". The show and its stars became media sensations and Farrah Fawcett became an icon.
Just to show you what kind of impact this show had and still has 34 years later, a new ad for the upcoming season of HBO's Bored to Death has the three stars (Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson, and Zach Galifianakis) in a take-off of the classic Angel pose.
Over the next 10 days, I will be celebrating the show that I watched from day one and never missed an episode. Some posts may be about the guest stars, while others will be about the Angels themselves.
