Camp Crystal Lake Cuties

Last week I posted the best looking guys from the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. This week for my Monday’s Man post, I’m going to countdown the hottest guys from the Friday the 13th series.

From the first eight films in the series (the Paramount years), I have selected my 13 favorites and there were plenty to choose from.

Before I start the countdown, I wanted give honorable mention to these great looking guys who almost made the list and are worth keeping an eye out for:

Bing Crosby’s son Harry Crosby who played Bill in the original Friday the 13th.

Paul Kratka played Rick in the 3-D entry Friday the 13th Part 3.

Erich Anderson played Rob in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.

Also, from Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, Alan Hayes who played Paul.

From Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, Tony Goldwyn had a small role as Darren.

As a fan of The Bold and the Beautiful, I already had a thing for Michael Swan. He appeared in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives as Officer Pappas.

Jeff Bennett appeared in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood as Eddie.

Jon Renfield also appeared in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. He played David.

A small role as Jim at the beginning of Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan got my attention to Todd Shaffer.

Each one of them stuck out to me regardless of how small or large their role was, but now it’s time to countdown to the hottest guy from the Friday the 13th film franchise. Please remember, these are my opinions and do not necessarily reflect the general consensus.

#13
Mark Venturini as Victor in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning.

Mark also appeared in one of Mom Smackley’s favorite films, Return of the Living Dead. Mark passed away at the age of 35 from leukemia.

#12
Kevin Bacon as Jack in the first Friday the 13th.

Kevin had small roles in films like Animal House and starred in Guiding Light, before hitting it big with Diner. Now everyone tries to see if they are within Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.

#11
Jeffrey Rogers as Andy in Friday the 13th Part 3: 3-D.

After his short career as an actor, Jeffrey went into medicine and became a doctor.

#10
Tom McBride as Mark in Friday the 13th Part 2.

In addition to acting, Tom was also a model. He was one of the Marlboro Men in billboard ads. Tom passed away from complications from AIDS and his last two years were documented in Life and Death on the A-List by filmmaker Jay Corcoran.

#9
Tom Fridley as Cort in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives.

Tom is the son of Ellen Travolta, which makes him John Travolta’s nephew. Tom has continued acting and has appeared in small roles in movies and television. His most recent film was Oy Vey! My Son is Gay!! with Lainie Kazan, Carmen Electra and Jai Rodriguez.

#8
Scott Reeves as Sean in Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.

Scott has continued to act and is currently appearing on General Hospital. In addition to acting, Scott is one-half of the country singing duo Blue County.

#7
John Robert Dixon as Eddie in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning.

John appeared in one other film according to IMDbAssault of the Killer Bimbos.

#6
John Furey as Paul in Friday the 13th Part 2.

John continues to act. I recently realized he played Justin’s father on Queer as Folk.

#5
Three actors portrayed the character of Tommy Jarvis. This is Thom Matthews in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives.

Like Mark Venturini, Thom also appeared in Return of the Living Dead. Thom’s first acting job—one of Alexis’ male secretaries on Dynasty.

#4
Another actor that portrayed Tommy Jarvis was John Shepherd in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning.

John did not reprise his role of Tommy in the next film because of his beliefs. John became a devout Christian, so Thom Matthews (#5) took on the role.

#3
Peter Barton as Doug in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.

Peter was already a name before he appeared in the franchise. I knew him from the short-lived series The Powers of Matthew Star where he reached teen idol status. Peter also appeared with Linda Blair in another of Mom Smackley’s favorite films—Hell Night.

#2
Russell Todd as Scott in Friday the 13th Part 2.

Russell has retired from acting. His other memorable performances are from Where the Boys Are ’84 and Chopping Mall. Would you believe that Chopping Mall is also on Mom Smackley’s list of favorite movies? Now I’m beginning to see why he likes all of these movies so much.

and now for the hottest guy in the Friday the 13th franchise (IMHO):

#1
Kevin Spirtas as Nick in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.

Kevin continues to act in film, television and on stage. He is probably best known to soap opera fans as Dr. Craig Wesley on Days of Our Lives. Kevin is also a stage musical veteran, appearing in A Chorus Line, Meet Me in St. Louis, Hairspray and as the understudy to Hugh Jackman for The Boy from Oz. He still looks great and I must say is still one of the hottest guys around. Check out his website for more information on what he’s doing now.

So there you have it! The hottest guys from Camp Crystal Lake!
